About The Artist

I come from a remarkable line of women who created with their hands: My grandmas on both sides either sewed, knitted, or crocheted, among other things. My mother was an incredible seamstress; making our clothes when bolts of fabric was easier to find and come by.

This same creative spirit resides deep in the marrow of my bones and is the heart behind my faerie creations. Hand stitching all the elements together especially quiets the noise in my head and brings a gentle calmness. With each faerie that’s completed,my heart leaps as I meet her, knowing the joy and excitement she’ll bring her new guardian.

Our Faeries are made with removable wings that are interchangeable and have wire-free limbs made with soft 100% cotton cording. We use a plethora of textures of yarns and embroidery floss for the hair that spill from the top of her natural wood head completely glue-free; making it stylable and a soothing tactile experience. Eyes are hand drawn and an artistic floral design adorns her cheek.

Fickle Sparrow is a Faerie Rescue and maybe, although it sounds cheesy, in a small way they are rescuing those they go home with, too. A little whimsy can uplift hearts from all ages in big ways.

It’s what I do and I love it. :)
